(pronounced Ray-Key) is a method of natural healing based on the application
of Universal Life Force Energy (the name literally means Universal Life Force
Energy).
How many levels of Reiki are there?
There are generally three levels, Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Master.
How much time should I take between advancing to the next level?
Is Reiki a religion?
No. It is not a religion. It is very spiritual in nature, but there is no belief required
in order to learn and use it. The beauty of Reiki is that it will work regardless of
whether you believe in it or not.
Is there only one type of Reiki?
No. There are several types of Reiki practiced around the world. We teach
Usui Reiki Ryoho but some of the other types are:
Tibetan Reiki, Shamballa, Sacred Path Reiki, Ascension Reiki, Tera Mai
Reiki, Seichem, Karuna Reiki, Karuna Ki, Saichim 7 Facet, Extended Seichim
Reiki, Isis Seichim, Traditional Japanese Reiki, Raku Kei Reiki, Atlatis
Healing System, etc.
What is the difference between these Reiki techniques?
There are different attunements, methods for using the specific energy,
techniques and symbols.
What are Reiki Symbols?
These are learned during the second level training and are used to direct
energy in specific ways.
What is an attunement?
The Reiki attunement process is how one becomes a Reiki practitioner.
Being attuned to Reiki gives one the ability to easily access the Reiki
(Universal Life Force) energy, for the purpose of healing a person or situation.
Attunements can be given only by a Reiki master
Can Reiki be used on animals and plants?
Animals respond faster to Reiki than humans. And plants love Reiki.
Can Reiki be used with other therapies?
Yes. It is easily combined with massage and other physical body therapies as
well as medical procedures.
What is the cost per level? (There is always a 15% discount for early
registration)
Are there any recommended Reiki Books I should read before attending class?
While there is no textbook for any Reiki class we do have a suggested reading

What kind of equipment is necessary for practicing Reiki?
No special equipment is necessary to perform a Reiki session. A massage
table is often used with pillows for the clients comfort. But Reiki sessions may
be done anywhere, anytime, in a chair, on a couch, on the floor, etc.
What sort of support is available after class?
Each one of our students is alway welcome to contact us at any time with
questions. We will also be holding monthly Reiki Circles at Quietstar.
